Compensation Survey/Benchmarking
UMRWA does not participate in salary surveys and benchmarking programs. This is because Authority Board members are not compensated by UMRWA. They are instead compensated by their respective Member Agencies whom they represent on the UMRWA Board of Directors.
Similarly, regarding staff, UMRWA does not employ individuals to serve as staff. Rather, UMRWA staff roles are either fulfilled 'in-kind' by Member Agency staff (for example, Amador County Counsel serves as Authority Counsel) or by independent contractors approved by the UMRWA Board.
